Going on vacation? Let your plants take care of themselves!
Our self-watering stakes provide a constant and balanced water supply — never too much, never too little. Ideal for tropical and larger plants with higher water needs, these stakes ensure your plants thrive in your absence. They eliminate the stress of drying out—which can stunt growth—and prevent overwatering, which compacts soil and restricts root breathing.
Key Features
Self-watering tool
The self-watering tool is a simple and effective way of watering your plants while you are on vacation.
Easy to operate
Just soak them in water for a couple of minutes to prepare the tips, then insert the probes into the soil of your potted plants and place the hose ends in a water reservoir nearby. The water will be slowly emitted through the ceramic cones, automatically watering your plants without the need to set timers or worry about electronic devices being turned on while you are away.
No power source needed
Using no power source, this high-quality plant watering tool will automatically keep a potted plant's soil at the optimum moisture level. It will now draw water into the pot as the plant needs it. As the water in the clay cone is drawn into the dry soil, it creates a vacuum that pulls more water in through the supply hose.
How It Works?
Fill a bowl with water. Remove the top. Put both the top and ceramic cone into the bowl to soak for at least 15 minutes.
Holding the cone and cap underwater, knock out the air bubbles in each piece and press the top on tightly.
Push the ceramic cone completely into the soil. Extra large plants should be provided with two or three cones.
Put the hose right to the bottom of a full container of water. Add a little liquid fertilizer if necessary.
The level of water in the container should be level with or below the green cap. Raising or lowering the water container increases or reduces the flow rate.
